World-class Experts Prospected Branch Summit
“Low Carbon Economy” of CEES 2010
In the afternoon of April 20, 2010, Suping PENG, the Member of National Energy Expert Consulting Committee, China and the Member of Chinese Academy of Engineering; Zhongxue GAN, Vice Chairman of the Board and Chief Technology Officer ENN Group, CEO and General Manger ENN Technologies; Simin SUN, Clean Air Task Organization of Asia-Pacific Representative; Li YU, the promoter of coal gasification and the Professor of China University of Mining and Technology; S. Julio Friedman, Carbon Management Program Leader, U.S. Department of Energy's National Research Centre ; and other world-class experts have got together in ENN and had the discussion for planning the branch “Low Carbon Economy” of 2010 China Energy and Environment Summit (CEES). Leaders of ENN Catalytic Coal Gasification Technology and China University of Mining and Technology (CUMT), and the journalists of Xinhua News Agency also joined this discussion. The experts tabled prospective proposals and suggestions to recommend world-class specialists of international organizations of US, Australia, etc., and of China as the invited speakers and co-organizations that include the State-level Key Laboratory “Coal Resources and Mine Safety” of CUMT and ENN. Besides, CEES will try to gain the support from National Nature Science Foundation of China . It is suggested that the Summit schedule the visiting to ENN’S UCG Project in Ulanqab, Inner Mongolia. The meeting was convened in ENN headquarter in Langfang, Heipei. Zhiqin LIN, Professor, CEES Secretariat-General and the Director of International (Energy) Cooperation Division of the CCUD, NDRC, moderated this meeting.
